NICA collider under construction

Special composition of concrete makes it possible to pour walls and ceilings 2 meters wide with the required strength and hardness in the entire volume. This way the collider gallery and the premises of the MPD and SPD detectors are being built. Beams of particles are accelerated along the collider ring with the release of enormous energy and collide in the detectors. It is vitally important to protect the town and people from exposure to dangerous radiation, which is done by the  enclosing structures made of our concrete.
